i was a little surprised that the f-pawn is scored higher than the central pawns, but it makes sense since it has an important defensive function even though you don't usually want to move it. the g-pawn worth more than the center pawns though? weird
i guess if you value a piece you don't want to move it, and playing g4 is risky because you allow Qh4? not really sure how they got a neural model to help with chess since i thought it wasn't very good at those kinds of problems
it's intuitive that the minor pieces are worth more in the opening, but i didn't expect it to be by that much
